I would like to find anyone who knew my uncle, Daniel Raymond Fulwider, USMC, from Wabash, Indiana. He died in Viet Nam on 8, January 1968 in a helicopter along with about 40 others. He died before I was born so I never got to know him, although my sisters did. My mother has wanted for some time to find anyone who might have known him while he was there.

I have come across some letters to him and to my grandmother after his death from some friends of his who were stationed in different areas, and after reading their letters I would also like to know if they are alive. Their names are: Jerry Albin (He may have been from Oklahoma), Jesus Salgado, and Sgt. R.E. Grimmett.

Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,
My name is Jaretta Bell. I am a PO3 stationed in Okinawa, Japan. I am looking for information about my father's time in country or any one who might have known him. His name is Jim Bell and he was in Vietnam between Feb. 1968-sometime in 1969. He served with A Company, 15th Engineers, 9th Infantry. He also served with the riverine forces. I believe he was around the Mekong Delta, Dong Tam, Kan Too, and Kan Joo. Forgive me if these are not the correct spellings. My father is currently living in Whitesboro, Texas. Before IU joined the Navy, he never talked about his time in Vietnam, now he is finding it comforting to talk about it with me and other veterans. Thank you for your help.

G'day American Vets' !

I served in Vietnam between 1966 - 67 with 2nd Field Ambulance at Vung Tau. During that time "whenever possible", a few of the guys and myself (on guitar and vocals), managed to get a band together and gig at the "Beachcomber" and wherever else we could ... whenever we could !

I have fond memories of two guys in particularly, "Eddie" (sax and vocals), and a lead guitarist by the surname of "Campbell" who were from 36 Evac. Hospital and had a four piece outfit doing "My girl", and assorted soul classics of the day. As I recall we spent the odd time socking down a few beers etc, once again, "whenever we could".

Come early February 2002, I will be in the US with a few other Aussie vets. We"ll be in New Orleans for approx. 5 or 6 days, then heading up the eastern side of the States to Maine ( I think), at this stage for around six weeks.

Would be chuffed to run into these guys again, and would appreciate anyone knowing their where-abouts to please contact me via this email address.

regards
Gerry Stevenson

Hi guys - If you wonder about the Email address it is mine, Linda, I'm Gerry's sister and am hoping he will be able to get heaps of info from anyone who wants to answer - he is so looking forward to visiting America

Hope to hear from someone soon!!!

IS YOUR NAME "TOM"? Were you in Saigon prior to October 1957? Did you briefly live with a Vietnamese woman? She worked in a bar, and you arrived with 3 buddies in a jeep. You always sat in the passenger seat. If so, you may have a daughter who is wanting to meet you, no strings attached. E-mail me. [email protected] (Yes, it's a shot in the dark but stranger things have happened.)

I would like to locate anyone who knew Larry G. "Dutch" Hyepock.
Larry was a member of Navy SEAL TEAM ONE and served in-country
between 1970(?) and 1974. He was my husband. If you knew him then,
maybe you will be glad to know that he finally married his
"childhood sweetheart". Larry died of Malignant Leiomyosarcoma
metastatic to the liver, April 30, 1999. To me he was uncomparable.
He was the most extraordinary man I will ever know.

I use to date Ronald Atwater. We had talked about marriage at one point. I think about him all the time. Ronald is black, he went to McKinley Tech High School in Washington DC. I met him while he was working at Merkle Press. Ronald has freckles on his face, and he talked very loud. I need to find him. I would like to talk to him and find out how he is doing. I have a daughter name Dena and I know you would love to see her. She is a lawyer, with 3 children. My brothers name is Sterling. If anyone knows Ronald Atwater who served in Vietnam please contact me on my email address [email protected] I need to hear from you. We were both very young and undecided with our future. I am now teaching medicine at a local hospital in Washington DC and I trust that you are happy. Sometimes in a persons life you make bad decissions and I sometime think we made the worst decission of our lives, listening to my family. Life goes on and I have been trying to reach you for years, then I overheard someone speak on this web-site. I hope this is the answere to my prayers. Ronald if you are out there please get in touch with me. If any one knows this man please let me know how I can find him.

I am the daughter of a veteran who has never discussed the war with me. I wish to find out when and where he fought and who he fought with.
I don't know where he fought or what he did there (his job) and I don't even know what his rank was. Whenever I try to talk to him about
it he says no and goes off. I understand a little. I won't pretend to know what he feels or what her saw but I want to know because him and
I are so close yet we have this one gap. I feel like I don't know all about my father and I want to. He has done so much for veterans in Washington
State over the years through his Service Office work. He name is Roy Lee Bondurant and his nickname is Skip. If you know anything about my father please
let me know. I wish to know all about.
Thank you for reading this and letting me know.

HELP!!!
My father was a Vietnam War veteran. He died when I was six years old, so he is not around to answer all the questions I have about the things he did in Vietnam. I am now in high school and feel emotionally prepared to learn about my father's part in the war. But I don't know where to begin my search. I would really appreciate any helpful links/agencies any one who reads this note knows of that would help me in my search. Thank you for your time and consideration.

As a former USAF medic, I was recently moved by a program on the History Channel about military medics. I respectfully submit the following poem to all my brothers and sisters:

RAINING BLOOD

"Medic!" "Medic!"

The same mad screams tore through his eardrums again and again.
He ran---toward the sounds, toward the cries, toward the dying.
Quickly kneeling over another fallen hero, the medic hoped and prayed for one more miracle.
It would not come this time.
Yet, the warm, damp night air still rained blood.

"Medic!" "Medic!"

The same cries, the same mad screams tore through his eardrums again and again. He shot up to his feet, trembling.
Again, the medic began his run. As suddenly, the screams stopped.
He could barely hear the moaning and crying.
His run slowed to a jog, then a walk. Then he stopped.
The medic knelt down once again next to another fallen hero.
His knees sank into the blood and mud.
No breadth. No heartbeat. No sounds.
The medic's eyes were staring nowhere.
For he knew---the warm, damp night air would still rain blood.

4. Open air thatched roof clubs (nickle beer & cards)?
5. Shaving and brushing teeth at the "water buffalo"?
6. Reading the back page of the paper the guy across from you was reading while on the "shitter"?
7. Ration card for beer etc...?
8. R&R in Bangkok?

I was attached to Task Force "D",MAG 15, 1st MAW. Utilities was run by Gunner Massey (I think he resides in Jacksonville, NC)? The "Tori Teller" proclaimed us as the "last combat troops to be pulled out of Southeast Asia." (began Aug.1973)

***Looking For CPT Thomas Dale Smith, USArmy***

After fighting for Mom and Apple Pie I guess Ive never gotten over lost causes. I am attempting to locate someone for someone I work with. It seems impossible and I dont have much to go on AND I can see that a reunion OR just knowing that he is alive will mean so much. How could I refuse to try?

I spent 69-70 in RVN with 1st Bn, 4th Marine Regiment in the Northern I Corps near the DMZ. One of my best friends, Don Socia, (I have two, I am told that at my age that is an exceptionally high number of surviving friends) who spent lots of time in Cu Chi Area with the Army but it was a year earlier than the time period I am looking into, but, he suggested looking for someone who might have some records or memory of the 1969-70 time period in Xuan Loc.

I have very little to go on except that Thomas Dale Smith was about 29-30 and freshly promoted to CPT in the US Army when he was transferred to Xuan Loc. I know his father accepted a professorship at U of Missouri at St Louis about this time and that he had several siblings (Mark being one). I do not know if he is dead or alive. I have no idea what US Army unit he was in (there was a vague reference to the 3rd, but, I dont know 3rd what)....I really do not have any idea where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would appreciate any advise/information you could offer to assist in this search.

I am looking for anyone who may have served with my Dad in Vietnam. His name was Tom (Thomas) Linn Ellermeier. Some of you may have called him 'Fudd'. He had blonde hair and blue eyes and was very athletic. He also enjoyed his beer. He was from Spencer, Nebraska and grew up on a farm. Him and his older brother, Jim, both volunteered for the draft, because they knew they would be drafted anyway, and served at the same time. My Dad was an army grunt. He served from 09/20/1967 until 05/11/1969. He graduated from boot camp at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and came back to the country at Fort Lewis, Washington. His service number was US 56544035. He was born on 07/03/1948. My Mom says she remembers him being in or near Cam Ranh Bay and Ban Me Thout. She also mentioned that for a time he was stationed very near the Cambodian border. His last mailing address was HHC 10th CBT AVN BN APO 96377 USARV. I have not been able to locate his company name. I know that he worked in communications, sending helicopters out and bringing them in. He gave me the book 'Chickenhawk' to read.
My Dad never talked about his experiences in Vietnam. I have always wondered about what he did, who he was with, and what kind of a man he was before he came back from the war. My Dad is gone now, and I am desperately searching for some understanding of him.
Please send me a note if you knew him, if you were in those areas at those times, or even if you weren't. I am still researching his company name and hope to have that soon. Any suggestions on finding that information, or suggestions on finding the men who served with him, are greatly welcomed. Please send any information to; [email protected] and/or [email protected]
And all Vietnam Veterans and their families are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your great sacrifice.

If you have any information on Capt. James P. Mehl, dated 5-30-67, I would appreciate hearing from you. OR if this was all a hoax, I would like to know that as well. Thank you!

Hi. I'm looking for a Sailor whose POW/MIA bracelet I have. I have had this bracelet since I believe 1969 or 1970. I have always wondered if my sailor was dead or alive, and this month (April, 2001) I came across a web site that listed POS's, MIA's and returnees. My "guy", I found out, was a RETURNEE. When I saw his name, LCDR Collins Haines, who had been shot down 6-5-67, tears just started running down my face. It was like I found my own father or brother. I was so excited I could hardly speak. Now that I have calmed down, I would truly like to find out where he is living. I would like to contact him and give him the bracelet I wore all those years. I am married to a retired Master Chief who served 31 years. I did not know my husband during the war, as I was too young, but have been with him for the last 28 years. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SACRIFICES for my freedom. You are truly appreciated. LCDR Collins Haines, if you see this, or anyone out there sees this and know how I can contact you, PLEASE, Please let me know. God Bless you all.

Hi, I'm looking for anyone with a really good memory who might remember a SGT Jim Price from Nam. This guy is my biological father and unfortunately, my Mom is unwilling to give me much information about him. All I know is that he did 2 tours of Nam with a posting at Fort Holabird, MD in between. I think he was probably Intel and came from either Kentucky or Tennessee. If anyone knows anything about any Jim Price from their time in Nam I'd greatly appreciate any information you might have.

VETERAN, ADOPTIVE FATHER.

I'm searching for a African american who was to adopt me from the Pattaya orphanage around 74-75-76? My name at time was Galong Chantraphol (amerasian girl, Thai/african- american). Things went wrong and you left without me, I know the real circumstance now, and the people at the orphange are sorry too. They did not know what happend when I was being handed over to you by one of their employee who wanted to benefit. Please contact me if you see this, sadly the orphanage did not remember your name so many years after, at time they hoped that they had had a change to apologise. I hope you see this.
This information was just recently given to me on my trip back to Thailand Oct. 2000.

I am looking for my adopted brother. I was 8 years old the last time I saw him. I have heard that he was in Vietnam, was wounded in the leg and has a daughter named Stephanie. I only know him by Eddie Means. I'm not sure if Eddie is short for Edward or Edmond or if he was just Eddie.
Eddie, if you read this, Please know that the court took me from her when I was 12. I have not seen or talked to her in years! I would like to hear from you.
I placed a message in the Denver newspaper years ago when I heard that you may be living in the Denver area. I still consider you my brother. My last memory of you is the way your eyes looked the day you slipped out the back door and disappeared around the corner. Things got worse after you left. I missed you. I was angry at first that you left me there with her. Not any more, though. I understand. I remember, and I understand. I hope all is well with you and your family.
You remember me as "JeNene". I had to change my name... long story and not appropriate for here. Suffice it to say, I go by Donna now... it is my legal name.
Your little Sister,
Donna (JeNene) Massey (Means)

G'Day from down-under. I'm looking for current contact/address of a US Army officer who I served with in Vn during 1969/70. His name was CAPTAIN Leon Sullivan. I think he was in Intel (Phoenix program) but not real sure of his speciality. Leon served in Phuoc Tuy province at the PIOCC in Baria - not far from the Aussie Task Force at Nui Dat.
I would appreciate any assistance in finding Leon.
PS> I served as private soldier/interpreter back in 69/70 and stayed in uniform until LTCOL rank before leaving in 1993 to pursue adventures in Vietnam. I'm STILL involved in Vietnam - now I sell Vietnamese Perfume all around the world via the Internet (just look for "FEONS").

Regards to all you guys in America - take care.
Hope you can find Leon for me.

I am posting this message today as a last resort. My father in law is a vietnam veteran. He served for three years, i believe, in the mountains of vietnam. His name is Gary Everett.I am writing this because he is suicidal, and on the verge of killing himself. For the last two days he has been crying, drinking, and eating pills from the VA. His sons cannot take anymore. They are distancing themselves from him because they do not know what else to do. Around Christmas, we had him commited to the VA in Charleston, SC, but they let him come home right before christmas. He has been downhill ever since. I don't know what else to do, or if there is anything that i can do. I would like the advice or opinion of any other vietnam veterans out there who might read this. Please respond to my email asap. I feel like time is running out for Gary and i don't know what to do.

I am looking for anyone who served with my dad - CMD SGM Raymond James Huber Jr. His MOS was strategic communications. We were stationed in Tehran, Iran when he was on tours in Viet Nam. He passed away in '85 due to Agent Orange related illnesses. I was no able to talk to him about what he did in the military because I was too young when he got sick - 8 years old.
I would just like to talk with someone who knew him so I can know what he was like and what he did.
Thank you,
Kenny Huber
